One of my resolutions for this year is to do more reading. I used to do lots, I still do but now it's more magazines and scrolling. I want to be able to concentrate for more than a page! So my plan is to read more books. It's getting the motivation that's the problem.
I saw this ad, probably while I was scrolling, which was for Blind Date with a Book. You tell them what genres of books you are interested in and based on that they will send you a book every month. You have no idea what book it is until it arrives.
I like the whole idea of the surprise and think it would give me the kick in the a*** to read. The only problem is, I have shelves of books that I mean to read so do I really need any more?
So I came up with a brilliant idea...well, it's an idea at any rate.
I picked out twelve of my own books that I really want to read, wrapped them up in my left over Christmas wrapping paper so I have no idea which is which. Now I'll choose a book every month. I know for definite that it's a book I want to read, hey most of them I bought myself. And it's costing me nothing extra!
Win win!
