When I look back on last year, the part I enjoyed most—hands down—was 100 Days of Summer. It gave me the kick in the backside I clearly needed. I got up, got out, did things, went places and had experiences I would almost certainly have missed if I hadn’t made that conscious effort. Turns out, motivation sometimes needs a challenge and a deadline.
So now
that panto season in The Helix has wrapped up, and the evenings are finally
beginning to stretch ever so slightly, it’s time to take the proverbial bull by
the horns again. Which means… today marks the start of 90 Days of Spring.
Before
anyone recoils in horror and shouts, “But today is the last day of winter!”—let
me explain. According to the old rhyme: February has 28 days, March has 31 and
April has 30. That brings us to a grand total of… 89 days.
Now, call
me pedantic (many do), but “89 Days of Spring” doesn’t quite roll off the
tongue the way “90 Days of Spring” does. So guess which one I’m going with?
Exactly. Which means I need to start today to get that extra day in. Logic.
Sound. Flawless.
