Yesterday I got a message from Michelle, a journalist with The Irish Mirror newspaper. I had done an interview with her a few weeks ago about my time as a leader on Operation transformation. She was looking for a photo to go with the article and needed it immediately as they were "going to press".
All sounded very "The Bold Type".
In this day of mobile phones with camera, you would think that this would not be a problem.
WRONG.
As I scrolled through my reel of photos I couldn't find a single suitable one. It was either a selfie, or I had food/drink in my hand or I just generally looked like sh1te!
I put a call out to my Facebook friends and I got lots of suggestions, some helpful and some not so helpful!
But I must say "Hats Off" to Helen who went beyond the call of duty in order to get me a suitable photo!
Thankfully they had no use for this one and went with the photo from my original photo shoot back in 2016
Not as glamorous but more honest!!!
